TWO WEEKS AWAY!!

Hello friends and fans.. my band Jeremy Would Let Me Drown has an event coming in TWO WEEKS (from today’s post), where we are debuting our show at 37 Main in Buford, GA! 11/29 come see what this band is all about!

The absolute best hits and b-sides from some of the most iconic bands in the early 90’s grunge scene: Pearl Jam (Jeremy), Alice In Chains (Would), and Soundgarden (Let Me Drown), hence the name of the band!

I was asked to join JWLMD in 2023. I came in as the co-lead singer and guitar player. This role is challenging and very rewarding, and I’ve been promoting the band right here on BlairOutLoud, because I feel like those that enjoy what I do will also enjoy this new project.

As we’ve been ramping up in 2024, it looks like 2025 will be a landmark year for the band. Before we get there, we are ending this year with two very special events.. one being our 37 Main show on 11/29, and then we are doing an all “Unplugged” night at Wing Cafe & Tap House on 12/6. BlairOutLoud SOLO, DUO, TRIO, BAND, and Jeremy Would Let Me Drown events all over the map! We are very much looking forward to the cooler weather, lower humidity, and fall festival events that this time of the year brings.

I would like to take a moment to thank all of you that have come to the shows, shared the events, and showed your support all year long. BlairOutLoud, this website and social media platforms, being foremost about promoting my personal events, is starting to expand to promote mine and Amanda’s events, even in other bands (that will be the next blog entry).

If you didn’t see the recent news, Amanda Blair has now joined Nü Wave ATL and will be performing various dates with them to finish out 2024, and several loading up for 2025! This past year, I have been very involved in Jeremy Would Let Me Drown and will be pushing harder than ever with that group moving into 2025 as well.

In order to accommodate new journeys with these bands and other original projects that we want to pursue.. we will be ramping down the TRIO and BAND events moving into next year, like.. down to zero. We will most likely reserve these line-ups for private events only, and you will see a harder push to promote SOLO and DUO gigs, as well as something new that’s brewing. Let’s just say.. for fans of heavy music.. our goal is to bring a metal band line-up into the BlairOutLoud Family. More on that soon!

Gate City is almost here!

Hello BlairOutLoud friends and fans. I’ll be quick on this one.. I’m very excited to be performing at Gate City Brewing this Saturday, 9-7-24 with my band Jeremy Would Let Me Drown! It’s an outdoor event on their nice big stage in their courtyard area, in downtown Roswell, GA. The show starts at 8pm and the weather forecast looks fantastic for the event!

Many of you are aware that I took a co-lead vocalist/guitarist position in a new project last year about this time, and it’s me.. front and center.. so I feel like it’s something that I want to promote here on the BlairOutLoud website as one of my projects. In the future I’ll actually have a specific page dedicated to the JWLMD band and its events… so.. coming soon!

Last week of August 2024.. how was your summer?!

Well folks, it has been quite a year so far. Up until August, my personal year was flying by so fast, and it’s been hard to keep up with it all. August was a looong month though. Go look at a calendar, August this year has almost 5 full weeks! (Great for income if you are a monthly budget person btw).

On tap for this last week of August is a killer TRIO gig at Guston’s Grille in Acworth, GA on Friday the 30th. Guston’s recently renovated and put in a decent little stage and sound system! I played there for SOLO acoustic last week and the new PA sounds great.

On bass we have Jake Kitchen back to jam with Darren Goot and I for this gig. The three of us teamed up at the end of July for a bike night event and had a blast. Jake is a great bass player and down-to-earth cool dude, and I will have him jam in the Trio or Band any time I can get him.

I’ve got some great acoustic shows this week, including a visit back to Rome, GA at The Moon Roof Bar on Wednesday to get thing kicked off this week. Below are the shows this week before Labor Day on Monday.

3rd Annual Brewery Symposium at Wing & Tap!

Hello all.. hope you are finding unique ways to stay cool on this ridiculously hot summer that we’ve had here in the ATL.

I’ve got TWO events on ONE particular day (at the same location!) that are going to be fun.. a bit of a challenge for me and the drummer.. but fun nonetheless and we’d love to see you there!

The Wing Cafe & Tap House in Marietta, GA is holding its 3rd Annual Brewery Symposium, as they’ve titled it. They are excited to host 4 specific Breweries in the area that have products that they will be debuting and discussing.

This event is on Saturday afternoon, August 17th, starting at 2pm. They will have a Q&A session with the brewers on stage (outside in the alley way of Wing & Tap), and then there will be music starting at 4pm…. featuring BlairOutLoud TRIO!

$1 per pint will go to benefit FIRST RESPONDERS via the Terry Farrell Firefighter’s Fund

Now here’s where it gets interesting..

Jeremy Would Let Me Drown was already scheduled to play at Wing & Tap that evening 8-11 inside on the stage.

So.. Jeff Wheeler, the drummer for JWLMD, is playing drums in the BlairOutLoud TRIO sets (with Gary Stone on bass) outside 4-7 for the Brewery Symposium event. And then… Jeff and I will be moving our equipment inside to then perform a couple of JWLMD sets inside later that evening.

Basically.. if you come to this event.. you’re getting a TWO for ONE.. however both shows are FREE.. sooo, you are actually getting TWO great band events for free.. or the price of food and some brews! 🍻 Pretty great right?

BlairOutLoud TRIO will play a killer mix of classic rock, 80s hits, and 90s alternative that we think you’ll dig. And then later that evening, Jeremy Would Let Me Drown is bringing you the best of Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden to the stage!

Happy 4th of July!

Most of you know of my involvement with this band, but in case it’s your first time and you came to see what’s going on with BlairOutLoud, I’m also the co-vocalist for this act that pays tribute to three iconic bands of the 90s: Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains. We welcome Tom Carling back to the stage to jam with the TRIO on Friday July 19th at Guston’s in Acworth. Carling, Darren Goot, and I were the long-standing trio called Leonard Koggins Trio (I had originally joined as a later member of their project). In ‘21 we had changed everything over to the BlairOutLoud label, so LK3 named events ended at that time. Fast-forward to ‘23, after Carling had bowed out of BlairOutLoud to jam with some other groups, he occasionally still offers to fill in when the opportunity arises, so here we are! Come see this iconic TRIO do its thing July 19th!

BOL Update Week of 2024-05-13 - Shows and Announcements!

The BlairOutLoud BAND has an exciting show lined up for next week in Cumming at the City Center Complex at The Well! May 25th, come see us throw and seriously fun rock and roll party!

THIS FRIDAY.. Jeremy Would Let Me Drown is unplugging and bringing you an intimate acoustic set! We will be down a member due to family emergency, and we’ve decided instead of cancel the show, we could still have some fun and bring you some great music acoustically. Jeremy Would Let Me Drown - Dixie Tavern - 2-10-24

Most of you know, in addition to all my BlairOutLoud line-ups that are in full swing for 2024, when I’m not onstage playing SOLO acoustic, or with Amanda in the DUO, or the guys in the TRIO or BAND.. I spend my time working to promote for my other band called Jeremy Would Let Me Drown.

I’ve been a full-time member of this grunge tribute act for about 6 months now, and we are starting to gel as a band. We perform the music specifically of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains. We have a blast and I feel extremely blessed to be a part of this project.

Amazing experience playing music I love!

Jeremy Would Let Me Drown at Wing & Tap House on 12-8-23 performing an acoustic set of music.

Hello all!

BlairOutLoud has a fun week of gigs on the way this week, some SOLO acoustic stuff, one DUO event, one TRIO event.. and a full BAND private party! Just about every line-up gets crack at it this week, so I’ll be running around all over town, making things happen, and hoping to see you there! Check my Calendar for more info!

Receiving a much needed break this week is my new line-up that I now perform with called Jeremy Would Let Me Drown. We are coming off of a very busy week and 2 weekend shows that were a ton of fun, but involved a lot of work and travel to all make happen.

We performed at The Wing & Tap House Friday 12-8-23 in Marietta, GA to a full house and had a great time. Saturday 12-9-23, we drove to Murphy, NC to play at a place called Chevelle’s. The weekend was fun, but we not only performed, we also set up PA, lighting, and ran the whole production.

I’ve mentioned this project in a few of my blogs so far. It feels strange to talk about another band on the BlairOutLoud website, but since it involves me as their “front man” so to speak (I’m a co-lead-vocalist with the drummer Jeff Wheeler), my experiences, pics, and video are bound to land here from time to time.

I wanted to take a second to talk about the show last Friday at The Wing & Tap House in Marietta. The group made the decision to perform the whole first set of the night acoustically, in the style of like an “Mtv Unplugged” vibe. Personally, I remember how amazing those episodes were, back when you actually watched music on Mtv. And I remember watching bands like Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and others like STP or even Stevie Ray Vaughn. So this is what we did last Friday.. and of course JWLMD plays the music of Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden, so as we performed that material there was that sense of awe and appreciation, remembering that time, and recreating live for our audience today.

Regarding: Jeremy Would Let Me Drown

Hello to all!

Jeremy Would Let Me Drown had a killer show last Friday (10/20/23) at The Wing Cafe & Tap House in Marietta, GA. For those of you that are wondering what this band is, I was asked to join the group over the summer, and I’ve worked tirelessly to hop onboard and deliver some great shows so far. This band is a “grunge tribute” they call it. Basically, the goal is to specifically perform the music of Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden.

The “Jeremy” guys have been around on the scene for the last few years, and I’m the new guy in the bunch. So far, the response has been great.. and last Friday we had a fantastic show. I captured some video footage from the event, and I created a montage of clips that highlight the energy of the show. Check it out below and let me know what you think!

JWLMD “Battle” Shows: Back in August we performed what we called a “Decade Battle” between an 80s band and our “90s” tribute. Each band played for 30 mins back and forth for several sets. It is a fun concept that we will be repeating at some of the coming shows listed above.

I have been asked to join a new group!

BlairOutLoud was designed from the ground up to be cover entertainment in all forms, solo acoustic, duo, full band.. ready to perform for live shows, private events, parties, weddings, etc, etc. So check to see where we’ll be next (or HIRE US!), and come enjoy great live music! The Jeremy band will have several events spread out through the coming months, and they will be interspersed between my acoustic and full band events like normal.
