ROCK-tober on it's way!

ROCK-tober is on its way; lots of great events with every line-up that Tom is involved in! The FULL calendar including weekly solo acoustic events are posted at the bottom of the HOME page, but here in this blog entry are some highlighted announcements that we would love for you to come check out. Have a great October Atlanta.. see you around town!

Friends and fans.. we’ve got a great month on the way!

BlairOutLoud SOLO, DUO, TRIO, BAND, and Jeremy Would Let Me Drown events all over the map! We are very much looking forward to the cooler weather, lower humidity, and fall festival events that this time of the year brings.

Below are some highlighted gigs that we are looking forward to (with DUO and up line-ups) check the bottom of the HOME page for the full schedule including various SOLO acoustic gigs happening every week!

(click the flyer to go to the event page for more info)

I would like to take a moment to thank all of you that have come to the shows, shared the events, and showed your support all year long. BlairOutLoud, this website and social media platforms, being foremost about promoting my personal events, is starting to expand to promote mine and Amanda’s events, even in other bands (that will be the next blog entry).

If you didn’t see the recent news, Amanda Blair has now joined Nü Wave ATL and will be performing various dates with them to finish out 2024, and several loading up for 2025! This past year, I have been very involved in Jeremy Would Let Me Drown and will be pushing harder than ever with that group moving into 2025 as well.

In order to accommodate new journeys with these bands and other original projects that we want to pursue.. we will be ramping down the TRIO and BAND events moving into next year, like.. down to zero. We will most likely reserve these line-ups for private events only, and you will see a harder push to promote SOLO and DUO gigs, as well as something new that’s brewing. Let’s just say.. for fans of heavy music.. our goal is to bring a metal band line-up into the BlairOutLoud Family. More on that soon!

Again.. thank you for all the support.. and let’s have a kicking ROCK-tober!

-Tom

I have been asked to join a new group!

I have been asked, and I’ve accepted a position as guitarist and co-vocalist for the band “Jeremy Would Let Me Drown”! Here is some details about the band, and what that means for BlairOutLoud and beyond. My first event with the band is coming up on Saturday July 29th at Boot Barn Hall in Gainesville, GA!

HELLO 👋 friends and fans!

Tom Blair here, on a Monday morning, recovering from a killer run of gigs leading into the weekend, and I was able to end my busy week with a fantastic concert last night (One of my favorite bands, King’s X, performed at the Buckhead Theater in Atlanta 7/16/23). I was able to reconnect with lots of friends and acquaintances from the Atlanta music scene last night, and I feel rejuvenated and excited about what I’m revealing today!

Headline: As a guitarist, and co-vocalist, I will be officially joining the guys in the grunge tribute act: “Jeremy Would Let Me Drown”.

MY FIRST EVENT with this group will be held at a new venue in Gainesville, GA called Boot Barn Hall on Saturday, July 29th, 2023!

Bio: Jeremy Would Let Me Drown, call ‘em “Jeremy” for short, performs the hits and various deep cuts of specifically these three iconic grunge era powerhouse groups: Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains. The amount of amazing musical material between these three groups, evenly distributed throughout a Jeremy set, is enough to keep almost any 90’s music fan smiling and satisfied.

Imagine a band hitting the stage and breaking into the intensity and passion of a song like Pearl Jam’s “Evenflow”, and then within the next few minutes, jamming the groove of Soundgarden’s “Spoonman”… only to then follow it up with the serene harmonies of an Alice In Chains fan favorite like “Nutshell”.

This music will bring you back to a fantastic time in life, pre-social media, pre-music-computerization.. let’s face it.. the 90’s were just a great time to be alive and connected to music culture. Some of the best music on the planet ever.. was being recorded and released. Jeremy Would Let Me Drown brings you the best of these three bands, the “best of the best” if you will… Come share that experience and enjoy the show!

Upcoming Jeremy Events! (BTW: Coming soon, these will be listed on my calendar right here on the BlairOutLoud HOME page (and other platforms):

  • July 29th: Live at Boot Barn Hall, Gainesville, GA (Get your tickets now!)

  • Aug 4th: JWLMD live at The Wing & Tap House, Marietta, GA

  • Aug 19th: Decade battle with JWLMD vs Mad Margritt (80s vs 90s battle) at Dixie Tavern, Marietta, GA

  • Sept 22: JWLMD live at Southern Roots, McDonough, GA

So.. what does this mean for BlairOutLoud??

Honestly, this announcement today doesn’t change anything about where things are headed with the BlairOutLoud line-ups and upcoming events! BlairOutLoud was designed from the ground up to be cover entertainment in all forms, solo acoustic, duo, full band.. ready to perform for live shows, private events, parties, weddings, etc, etc. So check to see where we’ll be next (or HIRE US!), and come enjoy great live music! The Jeremy band will have several events spread out through the coming months, and they will be interspersed between my acoustic and full band events like normal.

So that’s a wrap! I hope you enjoyed this announcement today, and if you have events or opportunities coming in your world that you’d like to have me consider, CONTACT me for more info on any of the groups and/or availability, and let’s put an event together!

Thanks all!

It's been quite a journey..

This is an invite to check out my History Page here on blairoutloud.com! From onstage beginnings in ‘93 through the start of BlairOutLoud, hopefully you’ll get some perspective on where I’ve been and where I’m going next!

Hello there friends, fans, and family.

I wanted to take a sec to invite you to check out my fairly brief HISTORY PAGE!

It covers a pretty sizable amount of years, and briefly walks through the beginnings of my stage life.. from my first band experiences starting roughly in 1993 up to recent projects and the beginning of BlairOutLoud!

Of course I’ve got so much left to accomplish, but I invite you to take a few minutes to enjoy the stroll down memory lane. Enjoy the pictures that highlight each time period as well!

It doesn’t quite detail every project - every member, but before the end of this year, I will be compiling and posting a “Tom Blair Timeline Wiki”… More on that coming soon! But what I love about the history page is the perspective on where I’ve been, what influenced me on my journey, and what I might have planned down the road. If you are interested in that story.. be sure to check it out!

Thanks.. and as always.. I would love your feedback in the comments section! Enjoy!

blairoutloud.com OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED!

BlairOutLoud.com is officially launched! Parts of the website are still being added everyday, but most of its pages are ready and available for interactivity. Thanks to all that support BlairOutLoud.. I hope you enjoy the website and get value from visiting.

Screen grab of the new website at blairoutloud.com/home!

It’s been a goal of mine for over 2 years to have a cumulative section of the interwebs where I could personally post news, updates, and blog entries and it be solely owned and operated by me. I’ve used social sites and entities like BandsInTown (and will continue to utilize these tools) in order to promote myself, but having it all start from here was essentially the goal.

Thank you for your patience, and I apologize for all of those posts “claiming” that my website was on the way.. It was in fact “on the way” but it took some serious hard work to get it up and running correctly. If anything positive has come from covid it’s that I’ve now made this effort to finally launch blairoutloud.com.

Thanks for all the support everyone. I hope you enjoy the website. Weekly I’ll be adding blog entries that feature my journey, or highlight weekly experiences. I’ll use this medium to post my opinion on subject matter that I generally leave vague on my social sites. But mostly I want this to be a place where folks, that are genuinely interested in what I’m doing, can swing by, get updated, and feel good about their visit.

NEWSLETTER NEWS:

I’ve taken a hiatus on my BlairOutLoud Shout through covid, 1) because I had no idea what the day to day would bring.. cancellations, postponements, etc, and 2) I wanted to create these blog posts on my website here, and then start to use the Monthly Shout to point back to my news and updates here. So… You will see a restructuring of the Newsletter that gives a brief update or “hello” message from me, and then links back to news, updates, and event postings right here on blairoutloud.com.

THANKS ALL!

-Tom Blair
