Revisiting the BlairOutLoud Promo Video

This morning I was reviewing my 2020 BlairOutLoud Acoustic Promo Video. I have to say, it still feels very relevant.. I love the energy and the flow of it. Today I’ve decided to put it back out into the world, and I would love it if you shared it to others or a business that you would like to see me play next!

There are several pages around the web representing BlairOutLoud and all the breakout groups that I’m involved with now. I’m proud of the progress that we’ve made with the brand, but we’ve got a lot to look forward to as we expand into new markets, and find new opportunities.

Earlier this morning I was looking through some of my promo material, and I reviewed my 2020 Promo video for BlairOutLoud SOLO acoustic show. I remember how easy it was to throw that together (although I worked hard on making everything flow well), because the particular gig that I used for the video samples was an amazing gig with great audience participation and support. It was filmed at Hixtown Brewery in Villa Rica, GA. If you are ever in that area, drop by, and tell them that Tom Blair sent you!

Anyway, today I’ve decided to repost this video here in the blog.

Two things:

  1. Can you open up YouTube from the video links and go to my YouTube Page and subscribe to my channel? (or Click Here To Subscribe) I don’t get to post nearly as much as I would like, but I’m hoping that I can narrow the focus of that channel in ‘22 and provide some fun content.

  2. Share this video with contacts, websites, venues, etc that you think would enjoy it! Maybe there is a new spot that you know about that has live music… Maybe I can get my “foot in the door” there?

I would appreciate it if you could help me spread the word. Many restaurants and venues have acoustic nights on the weekdays but bring bands for weekend events.. It’s possible that I could find SOLO acoustic opportunity first and then create the opportunity to bring the DUO, TRIO, or full BAND to new spots all next year!

As always.. I SO APPRECIATE everything that you do to help us grow and continue doing what we can to entertain around town. Enjoy the video! Leave me feedback.. either here on the blog.. or in the comments on YouTube! THANKS!

BOL BAND mini-set of ZZ Top Dusty Hill RIP

Check out our latest video! BlairOutLoud BAND performed recently in Peachtree City, GA at Grazing Here. Captured here is a 4 song mini ZZ Top set, played in honor of the passing of Dusty Hill RIP. Enjoy! Share!

Hello all!

BlairOutLoud BAND recently had a killer show down in Peachtree City at a location called Grazing Here. Grazing Here has been so good to us this year, and the fans have been so excited for us to be there performing.. its been a treat every time!

So back on 8-6-21 we had a fantastic show, and the BAND dedicated a 4 song mini-set to ZZ Top’s bass player Dusty Hill. He had just passed from recent health complications, and the band felt like we wanted to perform some ZZ Top in honor of his passing.

Captured here is a 4 song ZZ Top set:

  1. La Grange

  2. Cheap Sunglasses

  3. Sharp Dressed Man

  4. Tush

What I love is that each of us upfront sang a different tune, Tom Carling (bass player) opened us up with La Grange and also sang Sharp Dressed Man, Amanda Blair (keys) took the lead vocal on Cheap Sunglasses, and I took the lead vocal on Tush.

The energy from the band was great, and I think I captured this well. The audio and video could be better, but I was just working with a simple camera audio feed and a FB Live feed from an iPhone on the other angle. The FB Live feed for some reason did not originally upload to FB in HD so the feed is a little grainy. The vocals are low in the mix due to the cameras being behind the PA slightly.

So other than some technical issues, I thought the show was fantastic! I thought the band’s performance and energy were well captured, and the audience “woos” every now and then that you can hear just put a smile on my face. ENJOY!

Can I ask that you LIKE the Video on YouTube when you get a chance?
