Hello everyone! We have some exciting news!

Amanda Blair is now joining forces with Atlanta-based: Nü Wave ATL on keys and vocals!

The announcement came down yesterday online, but here at the ‘ol BlairOutLoud HQ, we’ve been hearing her learn and rehearse all of these fun 80s tunes in our studio for almost 2 weeks. She has been putting a huge effort into this, and preparing for their first show THIS SATURDAY, 8/31 at The Well in Cumming, GA at the Cumming City Center Complex.

BlairOutLoud will still have Amanda on keys, flute, and vocals for DUO and BAND events for public and private parties, but she is so excited for this next step, and we fully support her in this new effort!

Amanda is an enthusiastic player of Korg keyboards, specifically the Nautilus model. The 80s nu wave and alternative electronic material that Nü Wave ATL is covering utilizes a lot of programmed sounds and patches. You won’t believe your ears when you hear the sounds coming out of that machine, and just know that Amanda has taken the time to program and learn it all (with some help from patches bought online to be as authentic as possible).

Many bands run extra tracks to fill out the sound of these electronic based songs, and sometimes the audience can not distinguish what is being played in real-time or what has been pre-recorded and playing back during the performance. Many bands utilize both of these methods together, and Nü Wave will be doing a little of the same. But be assured, with Nü Wave ATL, most of the sounds you hear, and the performances that you will see, are being played in real-time, and once again you will feel that in the take that this band has on performing this material live!
