The BlairOutLoud team is ready to provide great musical entertainment for all your different events, from a SOLO acoustic or DUO pairing for a lighter affair, or a rockin’ TRIO (acoustic or electric btw), to even still the full four-piece high-energy BAND to bring the house down!
Pricing and Requests:
Pricing is always negotiable per the event, but is generally based on production needs, transportation, lodging, and performance time.
We ask for a base pay of $100/hr of the performance time, for each musician involved.
Additionally, if travel and hotel stay are required, we contract this out on case by case basis.
Pricing Examples:
A two hour solo acoustic event would start at $200, or a duo for $400 (local event).
For a full band event, where we provide sound, stage, and lighting production, we start at a base of $800. Keep in mind that most events are contracted for three hours, and your price quote might be a little higher based on the type of sound and lighting that we need to pull-off for the right production to make the show memorable and fun for all!
- We contract our events with a 50% down, and 50% on arrival method, so that each musician can protect the date on the calendar, but if for some reason the event has to be postponed, the client will be responsible for the other half of payment on the rescheduled date.
- We schedule 2-3 months in advance, so if we aren’t available immediately, keep BlairOutLoud in mind for future fun! … Also.. at times, we can get fill-in musicians to handle club gigs so that we can accommodate your requests.. Don’t hesitate to reach out either way! We might be able to work something out.
- We can not set up on grass or “hard ground”. A concrete surface or wooden platform is required for our needs. We need a level / dry surface to set up stands, PA equipment, lighting, etc.
Genre and song requests:
BlairOutLoud is made up of a diverse group of musicians that can accommodate many rock and roll styles of music for your needs. Our best material contains 60s and 70s classic rock and r&b anthems, great 80s rockin’ and danceable hits, and favored 90s (some 2000s) alternative jams. We have both male and female harmonized vocals.

Tom Carling - production designer, plays bass.. also acoustic guitar in duo settings, and sings
Darren Goot - drum engineer, lead cowbell, can’t not smile, and sings
Amanda Blair - keyboards (electronic sound design), flute, additional percussion, and sings
If the client requests specific music over the house system for a special event, we can build an iTunes style playlist (for example at a wedding reception, or corporate event). All additional music, scheduled announcements, and special moments can be accommodated with the right preparation and pre-production planning with the band.

- We set up on the back side of a house near the pool area in the “outdoor” dining space and played for guests that were invited to the party!
BlairOutLoud SOLO - Wedding Reception - Trenton, GA - April 26, 2021
- I performed solo acoustic for the first half of this beautiful wedding reception, and then for the second half I pumped up the dance music playlist through my sound system and got folks out on the floor to dance the night away!

- The band got together to play at the Marietta Wine Market for Tom Carling’s wedding reception! It was a low key affair, but I included this photo to show that we can fit into tight spaces and provide great music!

- On this beautiful day in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I helped project the pre-recorded music used for the ceremony, and then I performed my acoustic cover material at the reception.

- The very next day from the wedding event (right above this photo), I performed a neighborhood party in Acworth, where the client had a piece of a ramp that he fashioned into a small stage!

- The TRIO was asked back! We played a Weiss Lake dock party last year in July of 2020.. We did such a great job the clients had us back again this year!
BlairOutLoud BAND - North Cobb High School 1991 Reunion - Acworth, GA - July 24, 2021
- The BAND was asked to perform 80s and 90s jams at the NCHS Reunion in July! We set up in a pavilion up close to Lake Allatoona. What a blast!
BlairOutLoud BAND - Oktoberfest Horsemen’s Run - Fayetteville, GA - September 25, 2021
- The Oktoberfest show was amazing. This beautiful neighborhood park was a central location for friends and family to gather, cook out, and enjoy great classic jams! We set up in front of a gazebo, where the drummer used it for his riser, and we stood on small stage planks out in the field in front.
BlairOutLoud acoustic TRIO - CAPA Golf Reception - Concord, NC - September 28, 2021
- Tom Blair, Amanda Blair, and Tom Carling performed as an acoustic trio at a corporate event, a reception held before the next day’s golf event. Carling and I performed many of the band songs acoustically, and enjoyed the percussion and flute accompaniment as well as vocals from Amanda Blair.

We are blasting into 2021 and there is a overall great feeling I’m picking up out there. I have many people approach me at my events and claim that they’ve gotten the covid vaccine, and they are excited to return to enjoy their outings and to check out live music! The weather is improving and people are starting to book parties, and special get-togethers for Spring, Summer, and beyond!
By this week last year, we were heading in a much different direction. As a matter of fact, by this very week in 2020, I was officially cancelled or postponed at almost every place that I normally perform. It was a tough reality to acknowledge, but I got through it.
An amazing thing happened though: A couple of fans (who became close friends) offered me a chance to play for them and the neighbors in their cul-de-sac in front of their house (pictured above)! It was a little chilly that night, but everyone covered up, or they had a heater or small fire going. They cooked out, socially distanced for safety in their own yards and driveways, and we just had an amazing time!
This one show caught the attention of many people, and before I knew it, I was scheduling lots of fun events, in neighborhoods, condos, cul-de-sacs, lakeside, etc, etc.. and honestly, it started to turn the fate of 2020 around. I’m SO GRATEFUL for those that gave me (and my bandmates) these opportunities to perform.

Many people are starting to approach me this year to book their events, and they ask what I charge, and what type of line-ups I can offer.
Here are some details that might help:
First off..
A musician is always generally scheduling events 2-3 months in advance. I will have a few holes here and there to fill, but as of March 2021, I’m booked fairly solid through June and into July. DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU.. BTW… Sometimes I can grab a fill-in for one of my club gigs to make your party happen.. ALSO.. in some cases, your party is in the afternoon, and my club gig is that evening. So, sometimes, even if I’m already booked, we can still work something out!
Second detail:
I like to have a contract in place for most of my events, especially if the private event involves more musicians than just me. Sometimes I can get away without needing a contract, however, within the contract I send, there is an agreement that I can get paid 50% of the “Fee” or Pay of the Event up front (on signing of the contract). And then I ask for the other half at the event.
This is to protect the calendar for me and my musicians. If we block off the day to perform at your outside event, but an act of nature prohibits the show from happening, then we at least have our down payment for the hole on our schedule.. and the contract specifies that the two parties will re-schedule the gig for a later date. Usually clients have no problem with this and agree that this is a good choice.
Thirdly:
The standard amount of time to perform is 3 hours with a break in the middle. This is usually how the price is calculated as well (with a few exceptions). If you feel your party might “roll on into the evening” then we can talk specifics, and in some cases a “per hour” payment might be requested ahead of time (in the contract) in order to protect me and my bandmates with “unknown” timed shows.
Last up:
We cannot set up on grass or “hard ground”. There might be a perfect nice level yard that would be perfect for the party go-ers to view the entertainment, but our mic stands, amps, etc do not do well on this surface. Find us a concrete anything.. or wooden platform.. or rent us some small stage pieces to setup on, so we can feel secure and professional.

GENERALLY I start at $250 for 3 hours solo; or sometimes $100/hour is the right way to go. As we add musicians to the event, it is appropriate to add $250 to the tally as we climb up. Duo’s for 500, Trio for 7ish, and full band for 800-1000 depending on our time and energy needed. Everything is negotiable so don’t be afraid to ask. We want to work with your budget and provide an awesome experience for a price that is super comfortable!
Remember, when you book a duo, trio, or full band, you get a bigger show, more energy, and more fun! Those of you that have seen my BlairOutLoud Solo acoustic show, know that I bring the party, but you’ll love the energy that my bandmates can add into the mix as well!

Now that my many of my gigs have been cancelled or postponed, I now have a little more time to diversify my time and dedicate a portion to teaching! I have long been asked if I would be willing to give lessons, and I’ve hesitated, only because my gig schedule kept me so busy, and it’s been hard to break away.
I’m proud to announce that I’m finally available for students on both piano and guitar! My long-term goal is to have a healthy gig schedule combined with day-time teaching either in-studio or via online. This break in the action is giving me that chance to start that up, and it’s been very exciting so far.
