My Mini Review of the Boss KATANA-MINI Guitar Amp

WELCOME friends!

I just recently ordered another small guitar amp for the studio. I needed a small practice / portable amp to use for the purposes of giving guitar lessons for a select few, where the student and I both have small amps to plug electric guitars into.. And…occasionally there are instances out and about at gigs where having a little portable battery powered electric guitar amp would be really great for warming up or working out song ideas backstage before an event. (Not like much of that happened in 2020 in terms of big events.. but I digress).

I have seen several reviews of the Boss Katana series of amps, and I have been intrigued by them, but due to my actual needs, and being a little low on funds, I really didn’t want anything too involved.

So for $99 on Amazon, I decided, let’s fulfill the need of having another small amp in my studio for lessons, and let’s see if I can be satisfied with the tone of this little portable amp.. simple, easy to operate, and budget friendly.

Well I’m happy to report that it is exactly what I hoped for! A few days ago I propped up my cell phone front camera, hit record and captured my reaction as I dialed in some select tones and jammed a few riffs.
